Chef Amina enters the kitchen, smiling at  her friend Nura beside her.

Amina: "Hey everyone! Welcome back to my kitchen. Today is extra special because I have my amazing friend, Nura, cooking with me!"

Nura: laughs "Hi guys! I’m so excited to be here. Amina and I are making something delicious but super simple—Stir-Fried Rice with Grilled Chicken and Vegetables!"

Amina: "Yes! It’s perfect for lunch, quick to make, and packed with flavor. Plus, cooking with a friend makes it even more fun! Let’s get started."

Ingredients (Serves 2):

For the Stir-Fried Rice:

2 cups cooked rice

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

½ onion, chopped

1 carrot, diced

½ cup bell peppers (red, green, yellow), chopped

½ cup green peas

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon soy sauce

½ teaspoon black pepper

Salt to taste

For the Grilled Chicken:

2 medium chicken breasts

1 tablespoon olive oil

½ teaspteaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

½ teaspoon paprika

½ teaspoon garlic powder

½ teaspoon dried thyme

Cooking Steps:

1. Prepare the Chicken:

Nura: "I’ll handle the chicken!"

In a bowl, mix olive oil, salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and thyme.

Rub the seasoning on the chicken breasts.

Grill on a pan over medium heat for 6–7 minutes per side until golden brown and fully cooked.

Remove from heat and let it rest.

2. Cook the Stir-Fried Rice:

Amina: "While Nura takes care of the chicken, I’ll get started on the rice!"

Heat vegetable oil in a pan. Add onions and garlic, and sauté until fragrant.

Add carrots, bell peppers, and green peas. Stir-fry for 2–3 minutes.

Add the cooked rice, soy sauce, black pepper, and salt. Stir well for another 3–4 minutes.

3. Serve and Enjoy!

Nura: "Wow, this smells amazing!"

Amina: "It really does! Now, we just plate it up—stir-fried rice with the grilled chicken on the side. Simple and delicious!"
