Chef Amina’s Special Fried Spaghetti Dinner with Her Sister

Introduction

It was a beautiful evening, and Chef Amina was in the mood to prepare one of her favorite meals—fried spaghetti with vegetables, chicken, and a flavorful sauce. Her younger sister, Zara, had been craving a special dinner, so Amina decided to make it a fun cooking experience for both of them.

As she tied her apron, Zara walked into the kitchen, her eyes lighting up at the ingredients on the counter. “Are we making your famous fried spaghetti today?” she asked excitedly.

Amina smiled. “Yes, but you’re helping me this time!”

With laughter and teamwork, the two sisters began preparing the delicious meal.

Step 1: Preparing the Chicken

Amina handed Zara a bowl of chicken pieces and said, “First, we marinate the chicken for extra flavor.”

In a bowl, they added garlic powder, ginger powder, black pepper, soy sauce, and salt to the chicken.

They mixed it well and let it sit for 10–15 minutes while they prepared the other ingredients.

Zara sniffed the mixture and smiled. “This already smells delicious!”

Step 2: Cooking the Spaghetti

Amina boiled water in a large pot and added a pinch of salt.

She broke the spaghetti in half and added it to the boiling water.

After 7–8 minutes, the spaghetti was cooked but still firm (al dente).

She drained it and rinsed with cold water to stop the cooking process.

Step 3: Frying the Chicken

Amina heated 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan.

She added the marinated chicken and fried it until golden brown.

Once cooked, she set it aside on a plate.

Zara poked a piece of chicken. “Can I taste one?”

Amina laughed. “Not yet! We need it for the spaghetti.”

Step 4: Making the Sauce

In the same pan, she added 1 more tablespoon of oil.

She sautéed onions and garlic until fragrant.

Then, she added tomato paste, chopped Scotch bonnet pepper, and a bit of water.

She seasoned it with salt, seasoning cubes, paprika, and curry powder.

The sisters let it cook for 5 minutes until the oil floated to the top.

Step 5: Stir-Frying the Spaghetti 🍝

Amina added the fried chicken back into the sauce and mixed well.

Then, she tossed in the cooked spaghetti, stirring quickly to coat everything.

Finally, she added carrots, bell peppers, cabbage, and spring onions for a crunchy, colorful finish.

Zara grabbed a wooden spoon and helped stir. “This looks amazing!”

Step 6: Serving the Meal

After 5 more minutes of stir-frying, the fried spaghetti was ready! Amina dished it onto plates, garnishing with extra spring onions.

Zara took a bite and closed her eyes. “Mmm, this is the best spaghetti ever!”

Amina grinned. “Told you! Cooking together makes it even better.”

Final Touches:

They served the meal with a cold fruit juice.

They sat together, enjoying their delicious homemade dinner.

The End.
